Australians remembering soldiers past and present today may may think of guns and bombs, of troops a long way from loved ones.
We’re less likely to think of one of the great factors in morale and military success: the food.
And while nutrition knowledge and packing technology has changed greatly in a century, the value of a hearty meal to a frontline soldier remains unchanged.

Pure Melt will be joining us at the Museum as part of our movie showing night to really ramp up the chocolate vibe, chocolate tasting and their marvellous range of chocolates will be for sale… There will also be hot chocolate tastings by Mark Bullivant, a pure chocolate experience…dark, white, light, mint… come and find your favorite.

There will be a guided tasting session, July 14th, with Alison
Campbell from Love Byron Bay Chocolate, who will also introduce an expert to teach the making of the perfect Rocky Road on the 20th of August.
Plus there will be a special Wine and Choccie tasting evening 30th July at Bangalow Heritage House – a practical demonstration of how to blend the best of both worlds. -followed closely on September the 5th by a showing of the great French Film Chocolat…with a drinking chocolate tasting session, supplied by Mark Bullivant. BYO wine or nibbles…
The fascinating history and origins of this revered foodstuff will be on display at Heritage House.
